What It Is
You cannot optimize what you do not measure. Comprehensive blood work is the foundation of everything we do at Mana Wellness and Aesthetics — and it goes far beyond the basic panel your primary care provider orders once a year.
Aubrie Bair, DNP, FNP-BC uses advanced lab testing to build a complete picture of your health — hormones, thyroid function, metabolic markers, inflammatory indicators, vitamin levels, lipids, and more. This data drives every treatment plan, every dosing decision, and every adjustment. It is the difference between guessing and knowing.
Is This Right for You?
You may benefit from blood work & comprehensive testing if you're experiencing:
- Starting any new treatment at Mana (hormones, weight loss, peptides)
- Annual or semi-annual comprehensive health screening
- Unexplained symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, or mood changes
- Monitoring existing treatment protocols
- Desire for a deeper understanding of your health than basic annual labs provide
- Family history of metabolic, cardiovascular, or hormonal conditions
- Anyone who wants to be proactive about their health
How It Works at Mana
Labs are drawn in our office — no separate trip to an outside lab needed. Aubrie orders the specific panels relevant to your health concerns and goals. Common panels include comprehensive metabolic panel, complete blood count, full thyroid panel, hormone levels, fasting insulin, HbA1c, lipid panel, inflammatory markers, and vitamin and mineral levels.
Results are reviewed personally by Aubrie, who walks you through every marker — what it means, where you are, and where you should be.
What to Expect
Blood draws are quick — typically 5 to 10 minutes. Most panels require fasting (nothing to eat or drink except water for 8 to 12 hours prior). Results are usually available within 5 to 7 business days.
Your results review appointment is thorough. Aubrie does not just tell you whether things are "normal" — she explains what optimal looks like and creates a plan to get you there. This is health intelligence that empowers you to make informed decisions about your wellness.
Blood Work & Comprehensive Testing FAQ
What makes your lab work different from my doctor's?
Most primary care providers order basic screening panels. We run comprehensive panels that include advanced markers — like free testosterone, full thyroid panel (including antibodies), fasting insulin, inflammatory markers, and detailed vitamin levels — that provide a much more complete picture of your health.
Do I need to fast before blood work?
Most comprehensive panels require an 8 to 12 hour fast (water is fine). We will let you know specific fasting requirements when you schedule your appointment.
How often should I have lab work done?
For patients on active treatment protocols, labs are typically drawn every 6 to 12 weeks initially, then every 3 to 6 months for monitoring. For general health screening, annual comprehensive labs are recommended.
Will my insurance cover lab work?
Coverage varies by plan. We can provide you with lab codes for insurance submission. Our team can help you understand your options during scheduling.
