About This Treatment

What It Is

If you have been feeling exhausted, emotional, foggy, or just not like yourself — you are not imagining it. Hormonal shifts during perimenopause, menopause, postpartum, or even your 30s can quietly unravel the energy, clarity, and confidence you once took for granted. And too often, women are told it is "just part of aging" or "just stress." It is not. It is your hormones, and there is something real we can do about it.

At Mana Wellness and Aesthetics, Aubrie Bair, DNP, FNP-BC specializes in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) — hormones that are structurally identical to what your body naturally produces. This is not synthetic, one-size-fits-all HRT. It is a deeply personalized protocol built around your unique lab results, your symptoms, your goals, and the way you want to feel.

We evaluate your complete hormonal landscape — estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, thyroid, cortisol, and more — because your body is interconnected, and so is your treatment. You deserve a provider who sees the whole picture and takes the time to get it right.

Our Process

How It Works at Mana

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation where Aubrie listens — really listens — to what you have been experiencing. She draws detailed lab work that goes far beyond the standard panel, evaluating estradiol, progesterone, total and free testosterone, DHEA-S, thyroid (full panel), cortisol, and key metabolic markers.

Once your results are in, Aubrie reviews everything personally and builds your individualized BHRT protocol. This may include bioidentical estrogen (patches, creams, or pellets), progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and thyroid support — whatever your body needs, in the doses your body needs. We do not guess. We use your labs, your symptoms, and your feedback to fine-tune your protocol until you feel like you again.

This is collaborative care. Your voice matters at every step. If something does not feel right, we adjust. If you have questions at 10pm, we want you to feel comfortable reaching out. That is the Mana difference.

Results

What to Expect

Many women begin to notice improvements in sleep, mood, and energy within the first 2 to 4 weeks of starting BHRT. Hot flashes and night sweats often improve within the first month. Deeper changes — restored libido, weight stabilization, improved skin and hair, mental clarity — typically develop over 2 to 3 months as your hormones reach optimal levels.

Follow-up labs are drawn at 6 to 8 weeks to assess your response, and your protocol is refined based on both your numbers and how you feel. Ongoing monitoring occurs every 3 to 6 months.

Your initial consultation takes about 45 minutes. Follow-ups are typically 20 to 30 minutes. Aubrie makes herself available and never rushes you. This is your health. This is your time.

FAQ

Hormone Optimization for Women FAQ

What are bioidentical hormones?

Bioidentical hormones are molecularly identical to the hormones your body naturally produces. They are derived from plant sources and are available in various forms including creams, patches, pellets, and oral preparations. They are not the synthetic hormones from older studies that raised safety concerns.

Is hormone therapy safe for women?

When prescribed by a qualified provider and monitored with regular lab work, bioidentical hormone therapy has a well-established safety profile. Aubrie stays current on the latest research and tailors every protocol to minimize risk while maximizing benefit. She will discuss your individual risk factors openly and honestly.

I am in my 30s — could my hormones already be off?

Absolutely. Hormonal shifts can begin well before menopause. Stress, postpartum changes, thyroid dysfunction, and lifestyle factors can all disrupt hormone balance in your 30s and early 40s. If you do not feel like yourself, your hormones are worth investigating.

Will hormone therapy help me lose weight?

Hormonal imbalances — especially low estrogen, low progesterone, low testosterone, and thyroid dysfunction — are major contributors to stubborn weight gain in women. Restoring hormonal balance often makes weight loss significantly easier, especially when combined with our medical weight loss protocols.

How is Mana different from my OB-GYN for hormone care?

Most OB-GYNs have limited training in hormone optimization. They may test a basic panel and prescribe a standard dose. At Mana, Aubrie runs comprehensive labs, optimizes to where you feel your best (not just "within range"), and monitors you closely with regular follow-ups and protocol adjustments. This is specialized, dedicated hormone care.

Can I do hormone therapy if I have a history of breast cancer?

This depends on your specific situation and requires a careful, individualized assessment. Aubrie will review your complete medical history, discuss the latest evidence, and help you make an informed decision. In some cases, non-hormonal alternatives can address symptoms effectively.
